Summer 2018 | Family Campfires
This Summer, let's gather all groups and generations to play games in the field and learn together through shared scriptures and stories around the campfire.
Purpose | Hear + Respond
Through Scripture study, relational loyalty, and honest questions, we learn to hear God's voice then do something about what we've heard. These groups are where spiritual partnerships are formed and practical equipping for life-on-mission is fostered.
Format | Informal + Intimate
This Summer, our format will be simple:
- The Meal - Bring a favorite dish to share with friends and let's make a feast of it.
- The Field - Rally your family 'round for some games (dodgeball, relays, etc.) in the big back yard.
- The Fire - We'll engage in a simple all-generations devotional followed by family discussion, reflection, and prayer.
- The S'mores - "First you take the graham. You stick the chocolate on the graham. Then you roast the mallow. When the mallow's flaming, you stick it on the chocolate. Then cover with the other end. Then you scarf. Kind of messy, but good. Try some!"
